Saint Wendred’s  Training Yard in Newmarket

So, MoKee Arabians has decided to follow a trend of USA people to try our breeding program for turf and stamina by sending our colt Storm Troupour (Nivour de Cardonne x ES Ornetta x Monarch AH) over to Stephane Leveque of IGL training at Saint Wendred’s  Training Yard in Newmarket.

This was a leap of faith (as a small breeders program) that thus far appears to have been a good decision. From  videos & communications we’ve received  it appears Troupour has taken to the turf like a duck to water.  Our visit to St. Wendred’s yard, in early August, verified this.

Training in Europe vs the USA is quite different as is the running style.  This particular colt seems to have embraced the training expertise and style that Stephane brings to this yard.   We believe our colt has the opportunity to reach his potential (whatever that may be) under the guidance of IGL.

We eagerly look forward to our first horse to run on turf outside the USA in our name as owner/breeder.  Thank you to ARO and Ilka Gansera-Leveque for making this an enjoyable experience for us and our colt.
